Number One was a British magazine featuring pop music. It ran for nine years, mostly during the 1980s and was aimed at a mainly teenage market. The magazine was published weekly and ran from May 1983 to February 1992. It was intended as direct competition to Smash Hits, which was at its peak at the time. Including some fantastic covers featuring Prince, Wham, Duran Duran, Tears for Fears and all the icons of pop from the 1980s
